Counsellor based in Uxbridge, Iver, and Ealing
Welcome
Firstly, thank you for visiting my website. I hope you find the information provided on all pages informative and encouraging in making your decision about future plans. Identifying and feeling the need to reach out suggests that you may be ready for a change in your feelings, thoughts and/ or circumstances with some external, professional support. You can learn more as you read on about how I can support you, the benefits of counselling, and the process of counselling before deciding to get in touch.
I would consider myself to be an warm, genuine and experienced therapist who can form a rapport quickly with my clients for a good professional relationship to develop and good work to follow. I provide a safe, confidential and comfortable working space for us to meet. My aim is to empower you and support whatever you would like to discuss in an empathic and non judgemental manner.
I am an Integrative Counsellor / Therapist using a variety of approaches including CBT Counselling, Humanistic Counselling and Psychodynamic Counselling with 3 practices currently in West London - Uxbridge, Iver, and Ealing . This means, as an Integrative Counsellor that I have been trained and have the experience of using a variety of counselling techniques in our sessions to suit you and the arising discussions the best. As we are all unique, so too will be your counselling experience. I am in particular, an experienced CBT therapist (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) having practiced this for the last 15 years in various job roles areas around West London. I have included a brief explanation on these different approaches in the "Useful Information" page.
For the last 15 years I have worked around West London within substance misuse addictions services, drugs and alcohol to be precise, using CBT therapy daily. In my last role in this field I managed a borough-wide treatment service in Richmond consisting of many teams, one of which was a counselling service. I feel I have learnt a great deal about a client's experience of counselling and hope you feel that I have reflected this in the information provided as you read on i.e. breakdown of stages of counselling and FAQ. Through this work platform, I have found myself and my teams offering support for a wide range of other underlying issues constantly as, from my observations, people were predominantly using drugs and/ or alcohol to cope with these or self-medicate. These have included depression, anxiety, stress, poor mental health, relationship problems, identity issues, past trauma, bereavement and loss to name a few (full list on next page "About Me"). I therefore, have the experience of working with multiple and often complex life situations together.
In 2018, I started my own private practice and now have 4 active practices in Uxbridge, Iver, Ealing and now the latest in Stockley Park UB11. My life experiences, training, education, and work experience have led me to this point in my own life journey as I feel confident in the work I do with people, the positive changes it brings and wanted to focus all my skills in working directly with people.
Though my practise as a Counsellor based in Uxbridge, I see people from surrounding areas within West London such as Hayes, Hillingdon, Ruislip, Northolt, Southall, Greenford, West Drayton, and Harrow and other nearby areas due to the excellent road and transport links - direct buses and Metropolitan & Piccadilly lines that come into Uxbridge town centre.
(counselling therapy rooms are 1-minute walk from the station).
My practice in Iver, Buckinghamshire is close to Slough, Datchet, Windsor, Cowley, Colnbrook, and Denham to name a few surrounding areas and this is located just off the high street.
My practice in Ealing is a 7 minute walk from the Ealing Broadway train and Underground station and accessible via 65 bus route.
My practice in Stockley Park is located in the heart of the business centre and accessible via train, bus, and car (with parking avaiable).
